AVID 

 AVID [Advancement Via Individual Determination] is an elective class that students can take all four years of high school. AVID is a stepping stone to prepare students to become competitive for four-year colleges and universities, and to provide support for academic courses, including honors and AP classes. AVID’s mission is to close the achievement gap by preparing all students for college readiness and success in a global society. Senior Project

The senior project at Kekaulike started with the first graduating class of 1995 as a senior paper and poster board presentation to classmates. It has evolved to a 20 hour project consisting of a Product, Paper, Portfolio and Presentation to community judges that is required of all graduation seniors. Hawaiian Language Immersion Program


​Founded in 1997, Ke Kula Kaiapuni 'o Kekaulike ma Maui is proud to have celebrated 20+ years of Immersion education for Maui's families. Students entering the Immersion pathway at King Kekaulike experience a Bilingual language learning setting enrolling in both English and Hawaiian medium classrooms.

Athletics

Since 1995, King Kekaulike High School student-athletes have honored their namesake by participating in 20 different interscholastic sports. In 1996, the school became part of the Maui Interscholastic League (MIL), the island's division of the larger Hawaii High School Athletic Association (HHSAA). Throughout that time, Na Ali'i student-athletes have garnered over 50 league titles and 2 state championships. To learn more visit www.kekaulikeathletics.com

Student Activities

Students at Kekaulike have access to a wide variety or Co-Curricular and Extracurricular Activities allowing them to learn, grow and give back to their community beyond the classroom. These include Clubs, Academic Teams and Student Government. List of current KKHS clubs.
