Susan Scofield Scholarship
2022 marked the inaugural year of the $1000 Susan Scofield Scholarship. Susan Scofield was the first principal of the "new" Upcountry school that opened in September 1995 and was the only principal for the school's first 21 years. Even before any buildings on the campus were ever completed, she worked closely with the first incoming class of 8th graders at Kalama Intermediate school, their parents, and the Upcountry community to establish a clear vision and mission that created Na Ali'i pride, traditions, and academic achievements. Under her leadership, King Kekaulike High School was recognized as one of the best high schools in the state by US News and World Report (2013), as well as one of the nation's most challenging schools by The Washington Post (2012, 2013).
Sue and Aki Nakashima Memorial Scholarships
2022 marked the inaugural $2000 perpetual donation for the Sue and Aki Nakashima Memorial Scholarships. Sue and Aki Nakashima of Pukalani Superette both strongly believed that learning was the way to a better life. In honor of their lifetime of sacrifice and hard work, this scholarship was created to help KKHS students who are pursuing a higher education. Scholarships will be awarded in various amounts each year as determined by the KHSF Scholarship Committee.

In 2023, the Hisashima Family, Pukalani Elementary, & other generous donors established a scholarship fund in memory of Debbie Hisashima, Pukalani Elementary Academic Coach and STEMworks Afterschool Coordinator to support seniors pursuing studies in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) related field. Two scholarships will be awarded in the amount of approximately $500 each as determined by the total donations received by the KHSF Scholarship Committee.
